Mr. Bayerd is a Principal and his primary responsibilities at Marlin include deal qualification, conducting due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Marlin, he focused on the software and services verticals at Golden Gate Capital and was engaged in the execution of a range of investments covering growth equity, corporate divestitures, operational restructurings and management buyouts. Prior thereto, Mr. Bayerd worked in the private equity group at Oaktree Capital Management, a Los Angeles based investment management firm. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Business Economics from the UCLA.
