Mr. McMorran is an Operating Partner focused on investment opportunities in the technology sector. Mr. McMorran’s primary responsibilities include conducting due diligence and providing operational support and oversight to Marlin portfolio companies. He currently serves as Director and CEO of Solarsoft.

Mr. McMorran has over 20 years experience in the software industry, including 12 years with SunGard Data Systems where his career developed through sales, executive management and business development roles in the UK and continental Europe. In 1998, he was appointed Managing Director EMEA for Infinity, a SunGard Company, and subsequently President of SunGard’s Treasury Trader subsidiary with responsibility for SunGard's e-commerce treasury initiative overseeing the SunGard Transaction Network (STN- Treasury). In 2002, Mr. McMorran left SunGard to set up a strategic advisory practice for portfolio investors in information technology and, from 2003, served as CEO of Almonde, a Benchmark Capital portfolio company acquired by Misys plc in 2005. Mr. McMorran earned an honors degree in Economics from Carleton University.
