Mr. Johnson is a Principal and his primary responsibilities at Marlin include conducting due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring. Mr. Johnson’s recent transactions include Emptoris and Diogen Lighting. Prior to joining Marlin, Mr. Johnson was CFO of Avure Technologies where he was responsible for financial strategy, acquisitions/divestitures, debt financings, risk management and day to day financial operations. Prior to Avure, Mr. Johnson worked at Gores Technology Group (now the Gores Group), where he was a Vice President responsible for portfolio company financial oversight and due diligence activities. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Johnson was Director of Acquisition Analysis and Integration at First Data Corporation where he was involved in pre and post acquisition activities. Prior to First Data Corporation, Mr. Johnson was a manager in the Corporate Transaction Services unit of Accenture, where he was involved in transactions including joint ventures, new business formations, alliances and long-term outsourcing engagements. Mr. Johnson began his career with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as an Associate National Bank Examiner. Mr. Johnson earned a B.S. in Economics from Boston College.
